Babywearing Group Classes for Professionals: Enhancing Your Doula Offerings

At MostPartum, we understand that the world of babywearing can be both exciting and overwhelming, especially for expecting and new parents and their providers! For over a decade, I’ve offered engaging and informative babywearing group classes designed to support doulas and people who support families on their journey into the world of baby carriers.

If you're a doula or professional birthworker looking to enhance your skills and knowledge in the realm of babywearing, I offer specialized classes tailored to your needs. These sessions are designed to complement your professional expertise and support your ability to assist families effectively. Here's what you can expect:

• Specialized and Advanced Knowledge: Deepen your understanding of all baby carriers and babywearing techniques, allowing you to better guide and support your clients.

• Hands-On Practice: Gain hands-on experience with various carriers and weighted baby demonstration dolls, enabling you to confidently assist families in choosing and using carriers that suit their unique preferences and needs.

• Enhanced Client Support: Learn how to accurately speak about baby carriers and safety with families. Integrate babywearing into your doula or postpartum birthwork, providing added value to the families you serve.

• Networking: Connect with fellow doulas and birth workers, expanding your professional network and sharing insights and best practices. Take advantage of free, ongoing mentorship with me after class via your class cohort What’sApp group.

Our babywearing group classes are not just about acquiring random facts and skills; they are about building confidence, fostering community, and enhancing your parenting journey or professional skill set. Join us to embark on this wonderful journey of discovery and connection!

This multi-class series is held over the course of 2 weeks, happens 2x per year (typically), and is capped at only 10 people to ensure maximum attention and hands-on help from me. I’ve been teaching a version of this course for over 12 years, and feel confident that this format will give you the necessary space you need to effectively learn, integrate, practice and troubleshoot baby carriers and improve your babywearing teaching skills. My 2026 Summer class series starts this July, and is brand new for this season. It has additional recorded video content “homework”, so that we can maximize our in-person time together to really get hands on with our baby carriers!
