As a certified Gentle Sleep Consultant, my mission is to empower families seeking to understand and nurture their baby's sleep in a way that respects their baby’s unique biological needs for rest, growth and connection. I offer compassionate, evidence-based education on infant development and sleep to help parents establish rhythms and routines that align with their values and are sustainable for the whole family.

My Approach

  • Nonjudgmental Guidance: I provide a judgment-free space where you can explore what normal infant sleep looks like, and how it will align within your family needs and dynamics. I offer a multitude of strategies to maximize your rest, which work with rather than against your baby's temperament and developmental needs.

  • Whole-Family Strategies: Every parent has their own, specific needs and tolerances when it comes to sleep. That’s normal and okay! We are all different. Let’s build solutions together that are designed to work for the entire family, ensuring that everyone's needs are considered and addressed.

  • Inclusivity: I honor your choices in your feeding approach, sleeping arrangements, and parenting style. My clients have a wide variety of cultural customs, expectations, daytime work requirements, and particular sleep needs. My support is also inclusive of those who want to improve sleep, but don’t want to sacrifice their nursing relationship, co-sleeping, room-sharing or bedsharing practices.

Customized Sleep Planning for Families with babies 4 months+

For families with babies over 4 months old, I provide personalized sleep planning packages. Diving blindly into a one-size-fits-all approach to classical “sleep training”, or implementing too-rigid schedules for your newborn (that you discovered during a late-night doom-scroll on the interwebs!) can cause a family quite a bit of stress, or worse, trauma. Young babies are wakeful, hungry and ever-changing; their constant need for closeness, movement and food allows their brains to grow and learn best this way, just as nature intended. But how can we manage and function when the fragmented sleep of our kiddos doesn’t match up with our needs, and its starting to take a toll on us mentally or emotionally?

Together, let’s co-create a sleep plan designed to meet your family's unique needs and challenges. Over the course of two weeks, I offer continuous education, guidance and support as you implement your family’s custom plan. I ensure you’re prepared with realistic goals and expectations that respect your baby’s temperament and needs as you navigate a smooth transition to improved sleep for everyone.

Classes

Sleep Education for Expecting and New Families

This 90-minute virtual class or one on one Zoom call is tailored to expecting and new parents, with babies 0-4 months. These classes cover a range of topics, including soothing strategies, feeding norms, naps, circadian rhythms, bedtime routines, swaddling, babywearing, and safe sleeping arrangements.

These sessions are ideal for those curious or concerned about what sleep will be like for their family with a newborn in the picture. As you focus on feeding, bonding, and getting to know your baby, it’s also normal to want a little guidance regarding how sleep, feeding and soothing can all work in your favor.
